  • One new way to address anxiety from a business perspective is to implement mindfulness, team bonding activities, & well-being programs in the workplace. We should all be focusing on promoting mental and emotional well-being, reducing stress, and increasing overall resilience to our employees. — Heather H., Denver, CO
  • Are optometrists real doctors? Last time a patient asked me if I was a real doctor, I asked them if their dentist was a real doctor. There is only one “real doctor” and that is a veterinarian; they have to treat their patient without being able to talk to them. — Texas S., Citrus Heights, CA
  • I try to use “we are better together” as a mindset. I don’t have a doctor, and I’m a little more boutique, so I try to refer locally. If we work together we keep potential clients in town and not online. But it’s the little things of working together that make me smile. I lost my mother-in-law suddenly. A local shop reached out to me. To offer help if I needed it. I just thought in a world that is so competitive — as we need to be — it was fantastic how “competition” reached out to help. Maybe there are other shops/offices with similar stories? — Jennifer Y., Canandaigua, NY

EDITOR’S NOTE: What say you readers? Do you too have uplifting stories of the “competition” coming to your aid? Drop us a line at editor@invisionmag.com.

  • Thanks for keeping us informed and hopeful. In these times when government dislikes small business, you are giving us a glance into the promised land. — Billy I., Florence, SC
  • Awesome magazine! It is read cover to cover monthly. Thanks for what y’all do. — Ron C., The Villages, FL
  • The little tidbits throughout the magazine are so helpful to a cold start one year in. Both on ideas to try that worked for others, and things to change to make them work better! — Mason Childers, OD, Wiregrass Eyecare of Ozark, Ozark, AL
