Kering Marks a Year with Eyewear Brands In-House

Company exec hints they may add more brands.

It’s been a year after Kering announced it would discontinue its licensing arrangements and take control of the design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of a dozen powerhouse eyewear brands, including Gucci. Kering Eyewear President and CEO Roberto Vedovotto sat down for a far-reaching interview with the Moodie Report in which he said that the move already has proven a success “beyond expectations.” With the success of the company’s new Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen lines, he also discussed the likelihood of adding more iconic Kering Group brands to its lines.
