The $7 million facility was built to simulate a practice environment.
Eyecare products company Alcon recently cut the ribbon on what it calls the Alcon Experience Center, a $7 million facility in Fort Worth, Texas with 36,000 square feet of hands-on training space for opthalmologists, surgeons, pharmacists, retailers and students, writes Dallas Innovates. The article says that the primary purpose of the facility is to host Alcon clients for training, research and input. It was designed to simulate a practice environment, featuring a fully equipped optometric training area with exam lanes; enhanced wet labs; interactive cateract and Lasik technology; and an over-the-counter Innovation Studio designed for retail customers to test merchandising concepts.
