He’s making a bigger investment in the health sector – and has a big project in the works.
Claudio Gottardi, CEO of Marchon, shared his thoughts regarding the future of eyewear with The China Post, saying that it “will not be to see better, or protect yourself from the sun, but also to transmit health information to your portable devices ¬– basically study your emotion and your heartbeat to be connected with your health.” In that spirit, the article says, he’s upped Marchon’s investment in the health sector, and the company is currently developing eyewear that can detect illness before it strikes the wearer. “When it becomes a reality, I think that will be my biggest achievement,” he says.
