He’s returning to the firm after a few years away.
Marcolin Group has announced the appointment of Davide Rettore as CEO North America of Marcolin USA Eyewear Corp.
North America is a key market for Marcolin, representing almost 45 percent of global sales, the company said in a press release.
It has “high potential to be further explored both for ophthalmic eyewear and sunglasses, leveraging on the company’s well-known capabilities in terms of designing and manufacturing quality,” according to the release.
Massimo Renon, Marcolin Group’s worldwide commercial general manager, added: “We are excited to welcome Davide to our US Executive Team. His experience and unique profile will complement and enhance Marcolin Group’s ability to meet the needs of our customers.”

Fashion Network reports that Rettore started with Marcolin in 2011 as brand manager for Roberto Cavalli and Just Cavalli Eyewear. He then served as group brand manager.
Rettore then went to work for Kering Eyewear in 2014.
