It has been a busy 2022 already for Maui Jim.

It was revealed in mid-March that the French luxury group Kering placed a bid to buy the U.S.-based independent. At the time of the announcement, the deal was expected to go through in the second half of this year.

But ahead of that shakeup in the eyewear industry, Maui Jim recently showed it still has a few new moves of its own.

The brand has been around since the 1980s. And from its modest beginnings on a beach in Hawaii to today’s global footprint with sales in more than 100 countries, the company had never produced a commercial focused on Maui Jim as a complete eyewear brand.

It can check that off its to-do list.

Maui Jim launches new campaign for summer 2022

Maui Jim’s summer ad campaign, titled “It’s Going to Be a Good Day,” kicked off at the end of May. It includes T.V. commercials, social media posts and POS signage featuring eyeglasses and the company’s most popular ophthalmic lens material: Maui Blue Light Protect.

You can watch the first commercial from the campaign below.  More T.V. spots are expected to be released throughout the summer. You eventually will be able to find them all on YouTube.
