(PRESS RELEASE) WYCKOFF, NEW JERSEY — Globally, there are 1.1 billion individuals that live with vision loss. Unfortunately, over 1 billion people worldwide also do not have access to eyecare services. Eye health isn’t just about sight; it’s about physical and mental health as well. Vision loss has been linked to a greater risk for premature mortality, dementia, anxiety, and depression.
Now more than ever, it has become critical for us to be aware of our eye health. That’s why Morel partners with Optometry Giving Sight in honoring World Sight Day. On October 14, Morel’s goal is to spread awareness of blindness and vision impairment as a significant global health issue and share ways to prevent blindness. This year’s theme is #LoveYourEyes, which calls upon everyone to schedule a vision exam and encourage their loved ones to do the same.
Throughout October, Morel will be making a charitable donation of $2 per frame ordered, donated to Optometry Giving Sight in honor of World Sight Day. On October 14, Morel is also donating $100 per order of 20 pieces or more in our customer’s name. We invite you to join us in supporting healthy sight and increased eyecare opportunities. Together, the efforts we make today will provide greater vision for tomorrow.
