Start planning for National Sunglass Day 2019. Scheduled this year for June 27, last year’s viral campaign garnered more than 1 billion media impressions and helped encourage UV-protective eyewear sales across the country. The Vision Council is offering resources to help ECPs promote the initiative via NationalSunglassesDay.com. Marketing materials range from ready-to-use logos, web banners and social media images to downloadable posters and FSI starbursts. nationalsunglassesday.com

Customizable Glasses

Transitions Optical debuted a revamped Eyeglass Guide, with a new tool customizable for ECPs that allows patients to create their own eyeglasses based on their vision needs, style and lifestyle preferences. When the patient is finished, the builder displays the eyeglasses the patient designed. ECPs can personalize their own URL and have the results emailed back to them. eyeglassguide.com/create
