(PRESS RELEASE) National Sunglasses Day is Sunday, June 27, and The Vision Council is helping its member organizations and the industry at large to prepare for this commemorative event intended to spread the message of ultraviolet (UV) eye protection to the masses.

As your organization solidifies its plans for the event, keep the following in mind:

  1. Keep The Vision Council in the loop on your plans. Please share your organization’s plans for National Sunglasses Day with Hayley Rakus, The Vision Council’s Marketing and Communications Manager, to ensure you’re receiving the utmost support come June 27.
  2. Take advantage of The Vision Council’s official marketing collateral materials. Don’t forget to access The Vision Council’s online portal—via NationalSunglassDay.com—for ready-to-use logos, social media images, sample posts, downloadable posters, web banners, FSI starbursts and more to strengthen your National Sunglasses Day efforts.
  3. Utilize The Vision Council’s brand and official hashtags in your promotions. We ask you refer to The Vision Council when promoting the celebration via social media by using the hashtags #NationalSunglassesDay and #SunglassSelfie, when applicable. Also, tag @TheVisionCouncil on Facebook and Instagram and @OpticalIndustry on Twitter.
