Here’s a possible add-on sale opportunity for eyewear shops thinking out of the box.
When Jesse and Aiden learned that their German Shepherd had an eye condition that would worsen with extended exposure to the sun, an entrepreneurial opportunity arose, as Metro chronicles. Their fruitless search for goggles that would shield their pooch from harmful sun rays, the report says, inspired them to launch a company called Rex Specs that makes protective sunglasses for dogs. According to the company’s website, the sunglasses can be used to protect against “dust and debris from rotor wash during helicopter deployments, UV rays on mountain hikes or simple walks, bugs and wind during sidecar rides, or punctures from sticks and thorns while chasing birds, or squirrels.”
