Opticians in the Midwest are about to get a trade show they can claim as their own.
The inaugural 10,000 Frames, Midwest Eyewear Show will be held April 15 at the Minneapolis Club in Minneapolis, MN.
Organizers of the new event recognized a need for a regional conference. They hope to draw attendees from surrounding states for the one-day show.
“We feel there is a void in the industry in our area and wanted to put together an event that is focused on independent frame lines,” said Paige Kraemer, one of the event’s organizers, in a press release.
“It can be cost prohibitive to travel to larger national shows, and we wanted to make sure there was a more affordable local alternative.”
The show is the brainchild of four Minnesota-based eyewear reps:

“This event is for anyone who is passionate about independent eyewear,” said Kraemer. “Several brands have already registered to exhibit, and we will continue to keep our website up to date as more vendors join the fun!”
Registration is free. Each registered attendee will receive two drink tickets, snacks, and free parking. Vendor registration is available here.
