New Transitions Signature Lenses Style Colors Now Available in GEN 8 Technology

Color collection includes Amber, Amethyst, Emerald and Sapphire.

(PRESS RELEASE) PINELLAS PARK, FL – The Transitions Signature lenses style color collection – Amber, Amethyst, Emerald and Sapphire – are now available in GEN 8 breakthrough photochromic lens technology. The suite of vibrant style colors creates a unique opportunity for your patients to upgrade their style with an on-trend pairing of frames and lenses.

The Transitions Signature GEN 8 lenses in style colors have the best performance ever on style colors. They have faster activation and faster fadeback than Transitions Signature VII, are fully clear indoors, and have consistent tint across all activation states. The hues of the new style colors are also comparable to the existing color hues, with the exception of Amber. The new Amber lens has a good balance between darkness and color intensity with more honey/yellow colored tones.

“The addition of the four style colors to the innovative Transitions Signature GEN 8 lens portfolio is a true intersection of fashion and technology, boosting the style factor for glasses through lenses,” said Elise Bioche, vice president, global marketing, Transitions Optical. “The vast range of colors creates an opportunity for eyecare professionals to offer their patients an on-trend lens and frame pairing, with the added benefit of indoor and outdoor protection for their eyes.”

Along with the existing iconic colors of gray, brown and graphite green, the four style colors also block 100% of UV and help protect from harmful blue light indoors and out. Resources highlighting the new Transitions Signature GEN 8 style colors are available online at
