First lines produced in-house debut in Venice.

Kering Eyewear, the in-house company created to service such brands as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney, has been launched with the goal of becoming β€œthe world leader in luxury and high end eyewear,” according to multiple news reports. Kering – the French-based fashion powerhouse that also includes Balenciaga and Boucheron among its holdings – last year terminated its licensing arrangements and took over design and production of its various brands. The first lines under the new system debuted last week in Venice.
