Rob Ianelli and Ryan Shoenike are the brains behind Norton Point, a Massachusetts-based startup that’s making high-end sunglasses out of ocean trash, Headlines for the Hopeful writes. The company, the article explains, has partnered with the Ocean Conservancy and the Plastic Bank to pay Haiti locals a living wage to collect and process plastic bottles, thus preventing plastic from ending up in the ocean.
