A thief in Pennsylvania stole sunglasses from an eyecare business by hiding them in his babies' car seats, police say.

The man took several pairs of sunglasses worth a total of $1,000 from Design for Vision, the Associated Press reports.

Authorities say he entered the business with two infants in car seats. He put the seats on the floor and spent about half an hour perusing the merchandise.

During that time, he hid sunglasses in the car seats, Newtown Township police say.

The incident was captured on surveillance camera.

Police are still trying to identify the culprit, and are asking for the public's help.

Design for Vision has five locations in the Bucks County area.
