The executive board of Linz, Austria-based Silhouette International announced the appointment of Onofrio “Mike” Giannattasio as president of its U.S. subsidiary, effective May 1.
Giannattasio comes to Silhouette with 30 years of experience in the luxury watch and accessories sectors, including with Mont Blanc North America, Christian Dior Watches, Breguet and Swatch Group. He is a specialist in brand strategy, organization development, sales growth and marketing transformation.
Jan Rosenberg, CEO of Silhouette International, said, "Mike’s impressive success in developing the North American businesses of several high-end European brands, as well as his inquisitive strategic sales creativity and discipline, makes him the perfect choice for this leadership role at Silhouette’s United States business. With Mike’s addition to the current USA management team, we believe Silhouette is poised to strengthen significantly its leadership position in the market."
Carol Montgomery, who has been serving as Silhouette USA’s interim CEO since mid-November, will support Giannattasio during a transition phase before she joins Silhouette USA’s board of directors in June.
