Retail giant Coastal Contacts -- $218 million in sales last year – and Facebook are jointly touting the latter’s new Atlas ad platform as a way to clarify the relationship between online advertising and instore sales. Among Coastal’s discoveries from Atlas: 50 percent of in-store buyers are previously exposed to online ads.
