U.S. cyclists used glasses from Solos, designers of smart cycling eyewear, to train for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Electronic Component News writes. The article explains that the eyewear’s heads-up display let training athletes simulate the racing track they’ll ride in competition, and also displayed heart rate, speed, power, pace, distance and other metrics. Athletes won’t be able to wear the eyewear in actual competition, but it was helpful in training.
