Online Contact Lens Company Raises $16M

It’s received $26M in all.

Telemedicine company Simple Contacts has received $16 million in funding.

The money comes from Waypoint Capital Partners, with participation from returning investors Goodwater Capital, Steven Cohen, executives from Flatiron Health and a number of ophthalmologists, according to a press release posted at PE Hub.

Simple Contacts, which launched in 2016, plans to use the new funding to invest in marketing and customer service, open new offices and eventually expand the business to address other healthcare categories.

In all, the company has now received $26 million in funding. Simple Contacts “lets you renew your contact lens prescription from anywhere with our online vision test and delivery service,” according to its website
