Twitter is abuzz over a new optical illusion, with users unclear about exactly what numerals they’re seeing.

Some say it’s obvious: 45,283. Other say they’re picking up some additional digits and the actual number is 34,528,39.

As of Feb. 21, the post had garnered nearly 18,000 comments. Stumped by the image, some Twitter users have even — perhaps jokingly — wondered if they should get their eyesight checked by a doctor.

The image was originally posted by user @benonwine, Extra.ie reports.

User @shinyford wrote: “45283. (3452839 now I know the other digits are there – but I wouldn’t have spotted them.)”

Another user, @PhilippeAuclair, asked: “45 283…and what’s the catch? Should I book an appointment with my GP?”

Still another user, @CookeLouise, fretted: “I can only see 528. Does that mean anything about my eyesight?”

One theory being proposed for why people disagree about what they’re seeing in the image: differences in contrast sensitivity.
