Gurjiv Kaur was excited to get her first letter of acceptance to optometry school, but her parents may have been even more excited.
Kaur, a graduate of the University of California-Irvine, surprised her parents with the letter from the Rosenberg School of Optometry at University of The Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, Today.com reports. She told her parents they were playing a game of “tongue twisters” and captured the moment on camera.
Her parents, Karamjit Kaur and Jagdeep Singh, were overwhelmed with emotion!
After receiving the letter, “I waited the whole day without telling them so I could see their reaction in person,” Kaur told Today.
She posted the video to Twitter, where it’s received over 870,000 likes so far.
