As COVID-19 hits record numbers, concern about the virus is at its highest levels among U.S. adults since April; 62 percent of adults surveyed in The Vision Council VisionWatch COVID-19 US Consumer Study reported high levels of concern in November, but only 21 percent of respondents indicated they will postpone or cancel eye exams while COVID is still a threat, down from 52 percent in April. Podium, a customer communications software developer, recently surveyed 1,543 patients and consumers. It found that online reviews are influencing 88 percent of patients’ decisions and 58 percent of patients would be willing to travel farther to another healthcare organization with higher reviews.
