(PRESS RELEASE) PHILADELPHIA, PA- Philadelphia Eyeglass Labs, a five location eyecare practice in the greater Philadelphia area, and 20/20NOW, the inventor of ocular telehealth eye exams, announced that Philadelphia Eyeglass Labs has chosen 20/20NOW as its new Ocular Telehealth partner. Previously, Philadelphia Eyeglass Labs was working with Digital Optometrics and helped beta-test their system.
According to Dr. Sukumar Pandit, “The professional staff at Philadelphia Eyeglass Labs are excited to use the 20/20NOW solution as it provides me with advanced technology and also provides several key enhancements to our professional services. We will be utilizing 20/20NOW’s proprietary refraction algorithms to get precise prescriptions and we will also be using their artificial intelligence program combined with retinal imaging to help detect diabetic retinopathy in its earliest stages.” Dr. Pandit also mentioned “I will also have the ability to appear on-screen via video conferencing to communicate with patients directly regarding their exam results and answer any questions.” Pandit concluded – “It’s Star Trek meets Eyecare”!
