Onlookers stood around the “exhibit” snapping pictures.

In a well executed prank, a group of high school students placed a pair of eyeglasses on the floor of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, fooling the other visitors into thinking it was an actual art exhibit, Buzzfeed writes. Speaking with the website, 17-year-old T.J. Khayatan explained how some of the exhibits didn’t seem very surprising or artistic, noting that he and his friends “stumbled upon a stuffed animal on a gray blanket and questioned if this was really impressive to some of the nearby people.”

The article explains that Khayatan then got the idea to put the glasses on the floor facing the room, just to see how people would react. Of course, people started gathering around the “exhibit” and snapping pictures. Khayatan then took photos of the admirers, which went viral after he posted them on Twitter, getting retweeted more than 32,000 times.
