And the Winners Are…

Vision Expo named several winners in various categories during the 2018 exhibition. The winners of the 2018 Best Booth Contest were De Rigo REM and Kuusoft Corporation, respectively. Attendees who voted were entered to win a $500 AmEx gift card. The winners were Justin Hoatson of EyeCare Specialties, Dawn Camble of Vision Source of Texarkana, and Janet Kilroe of Franklin Lakes Opticians.

The 2018 Vision Choice winners were Specs of Wood in first place, Fetch Eyewear in second, and Lunette USA in third. Attendees who voted for the best new product were automatically entered to win a $500 Exhibit Hall shopping spree. Winners of those sprees were Kristen Aronsson, Mike Himmelreich and Annette Cullen. Lastly, Todd Rogers Eyewear of Andover, MA, was named the winner of the new OPTImum Retail

It’s Generational

Transitions Optical and the Center for Generation Kinetics (CGK) have released a new infographic, “Observing Generations: A Look at the Optical Buying Habits of Different Generations.” The infographic shows, among other things,  that Millennials are over four times more likely than other generations to have their eyeglass decisions influenced by a celebrity.
