(PRESS RELEASE) SECAUCUS, NJ – Safilo announces a new online channel called SAFILO LIVE offering innovative virtual programming to its customers across the United States. The monthly live “broadcasts” will provide viewers with content that includes virtual shopping, special sales offers and incentives, as well as branded giveways, marketing tips and business solutions, to help attract customers to the offices of eyecare professionals.
The first-ever SAFILO LIVE “episode” will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 2 p.m. EDT. This month’s featured topic is Back-to-School eyewear and will focus on the newest styles trending for teens and college-age young adults.
Formatted like a home shopping program, the live show will feature two Safilo sales hosts and offer informative content including product features and benefits as well a Q&A session with some of Safilo’s most knowledgeable sales reps. Special SAFILO LIVE sales offers, giveaways and incentive pricing will only be offered during the live “broadcast” as well as up to three days afterwards in the program’s “On Demand” mode. Once viewers sign up to watch the episode, the registration link can be used to watch the live program or view on demand as a taped episode. The Aug. 5 episode will expire Friday, Aug. 7, at 9 p.m. EDT.
Safilo customers can register by going to www.mysafilo.com and should contact their local Safilo sales rep for more information.

“We will also be providing educational information, special sales incentives and giveaways given this challenging environment,” said Eric Blanchette, EVP, sales East, Safilo USA and country manager, Safilo Canada. “Why channel surf in between appointments when you can watch SAFILO LIVE?,” added Blanchette.
