Shamir Glacier  Anti-Fog Lens Now More Widely Available

This is possible through two new labs and option to choose own frames.




(PRESS RELEASE) SAN DIEGO, CA – After successfully launching Glacier Anti-Fog to specific hospitals in saturated areas of the pandemic, Shamir Glacier  Anti-Fog coating is now more widely available through Central One Optical in OH, of The Network of Labs, including R.D. Cherry in MI, Homer Optical in MD, VA and PA and Interstate Optical OH, the Interstate Optical Lab Group, including Interstate IN, LensTech and GK Optical. ECP’s are now able to use their customer’s choice of frames for fitting Glacier Anti-Fog with Duplex Technology. Contact your local AE for new labs that join Anti-Fog program.

In a recent market research study, surveying 1,000 consumers:

  • 80% of consumers responded that their glasses sometimes to always fog up when wearing a mask
  • Over 40% of respondents found the fog disturbing to their vision

To assist mask-wearers who also wear glasses, this coating permanently prevents the build-up of vapor on the lens without any type of activator or rejuvenation spray.

Glacier  Anti-Fog is now accessible to consumers through their Eye Care Professionals.
