Tens Gets a 10 for New ‘80s-Style Commercial

The small Scottish sunglass company Tens is getting big-time media attention for an eye-catching new TV commercial that replicates the look of a 1980s infomercial. Tens produces glasses with special lenses that “make the world look like a Polaroid picture,” says AdWeek, and the company’s new spot follows suit. “Shot on both digital and analog cameras (the company nabbed an old-school VHS camera on eBay for $20) — with a ton of work done in post (production) — the ad plays on people’s love of nostalgia, wavy VHS lines and all.” (Catch the video below.)
