(PRESS RELEASE) DALLAS, TX — Prevent Blindness Texas hosted the Tee Off to Prevent Blindness Golf Tournament at the Texas Star Golf Course in Dallas, TX, this past month. Golfers gathered on the greens in support of the nonprofit’s mission to prevent blindness and preserve sight. PBT is committed to providing access, awareness, and advocacy in the field of vision health. The funds raised will help provide services to almost 700 individuals. PBT has hosted the golf tournament for several years and is already making plans to host the tournament on Friday, May 6, 2022.
John McMahn, PBT board and golf committee member says, “Players have enjoyed this course for several years, and the tournament continues to grow. I think this event is an excellent way for businesses and individual players to show their support of the important work Prevent Blindness Texas does in areas of eye care for the people of our state.”
Tee Off to Prevent Blindness Golf Tournament is enhanced by the generous sponsors who value the vision services PBT provides Texans: EssilorLuxottica, Neurolens, Schneider, Eyefinity, and Shenoy.
PBT events like the golf tournament help the organization to provide vision screenings, educational programs in the community, and financial resources for treatment, including glasses. Since 1965, PBT has been the state’s leading voluntary eye health and safety organization dedicated to preventing blindness and preserving sight.
