(PRESS RELEASE) CARLSBAD, CA — The Leisure Collective, Inc. (“TLC”), distributor of globally recognized brands ‘Creatures of Leisure’, ‘OTIS Eyewear’, and ‘sito shades’ announces the appointment of Scott Oliver to the position of Vice President of Sales – Eyewear Division, Americas.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Scott join our team and drive the expansion of our eyewear brands across the US and Americas market”, says President, Eric Carlson. “His proven ability to drive front line sales efforts and support long term strategic planning is a rare find that will benefit TLC’s growth opportunities today and well into the future.”

With a long track record of successful sales leadership across market leading brands and most recently serving as National Sales Manager for Smith Optics, Oliver will turn his focus on developing an independent sales force and premium retail partnerships to expand eyewear distribution outside of TLC’s core surf channel.

“Opportunities such as this with the Leisure Collective are few and far between” Oliver says. “After years invested at larger companies building out a business at a more personal level alongside great people is highly motivating. The horizons are vast and growth possibilities are endless. Surrounded by talent and compelling product are the cornerstones of any salespersons first asks and I’m honored to be a part of this venture with TLC Inc.”

“Every company needs a strong foundation to build from and that is exactly what the core surf channel is to us – our foundation. It’s where we started, it represents the core of our lifestyle, and it keeps us grounded. Scott’s efforts to develop eyewear distribution outside of this channel will build brand awareness and elevate our product and merchandising which directly supports core surf. We are firm believers that having a diverse but well-managed retail footprint for our eyewear brands is the key to building consumer demand for specialty retailers which Scott believes in as well, so we gladly welcome him to the team.” Carlson says.
