“I love that I’m in control of the experience that the families will receive when they come in,” explains Danielle Crull, owner of A Child’s Eyes. “Everything from the design of the office to the policies being a reflection of how I want to treat people.” As if that weren’t enough, she still gets to shop at the toy store. “Running a children’s place is all about distractions and fun. I love hiding little surprises around the office for kids to find. My tool belt includes nosepad pliers and a light-up toy rattle. Oh, and my optician kitty, Truffles, who wears glasses.” But don’t let her love of children and furry sidekick fool you. Danielle can lay down the hammer when she needs to … literally. “Believe it or not, I love to box and wield a 20 pound sledgehammer for exercise. Nothing like hitting something as hard as you can to let the stress out!” When she’s not pounding it out, she unwinds with more creative pursuits. “I’m a bit of an amateur photographer so taking pictures really helps me relax. I like to do anything crafty; letting my imagination go wild is a great way to get my mind in a positive direction,” she concludes.
