EYES ON TRADE, WINSTON-SALEM, NC
Ever meet someone and you can just feel their passion for life oozing out of them? If you answered no, then you haven’t met Maggie Campbell yet. Her job, and building lasting relationships with clients, is something she loves. “I have become such good friends with so many of my clients. To sell someone the perfect glasses, you have to vibe with them a little bit and earn their trust, and what better way than bonding over who they are as a person?” She not only genuinely likes her clients, but this former teacher loves teaching her sta to love opticianry. “It brings me such joy to see my incredible sta absolutely shining on the sales floor. Passing along my love for the gig is super fulfilling.” But it’s not all vibing with clients, shining sta , or coordinating events with her local community and other small businesses. Sometimes she must break bad news to clients, gets stuck in paperwork that sucks the fun out of the job, or <gasp!> resist the urge to snag all the rad glasses for herself. “Does anyone else ever feel a little sad when one of their favorite pairs walks out? No, just me?” When that sadness hits, this hobby enthusiast has a long list of former and current activities that help her unwind: Restoring Hazel, her 1976 Airstream; strength training; season tickets to the Charlotte Football Club; long walks on one of North Carolina’s great nature walks; live music, playing with her pups, roller skating, and baking sweet treats.
