Up to 70 million workers are at risk for computer vision syndrome, a number that’s expected to continue growing, The New York Times writes. The article cites a number of studies addressing that concern, including several indicating that “70 percent to 90 percent of people who use computers extensively, whether for work or play, have one or more symptoms” of the syndrome. The article goes on to list some of the reasons why the problem is so widespread, listing several do-it-yourself precautions your patients can take to limit symptoms.
