(PRESS RELEASE) ATLANTA, GA — Thomas Eye Group announces the acquisition of Georgia Optometry Group, adding five new locations throughout Metro Atlanta. Located in Douglasville, Dunwoody, Kennesaw, Morrow, and Stone Mountain, Thomas Eye Group expands and provide eye care to the ever-growing Atlanta community.

In addition, five optometrists will be added to the practice increasing our capacity to provide excellent patient care that will focus on comprehensive eye exams with prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses. “We are thrilled with our new partnership with Georgia Optometry Group. Their quality providers and longevity in the Atlanta market, along with the forty-five-plus-year history of Thomas Eye Group in the Atlanta market is unprecedented. This collaboration will make a more comprehensive and seamless care model to benefit all of our collective patients,” says Thomas Eye Group President and Oculoplastic Surgeon, Dr. Kenneth Neufeld.

With the acquisition, Thomas Eye Group now has sixteen offices across Metro Atlanta and will continue to build better access to quality eye care in the community. “We are very excited to welcome Georgia Optometry Group to the TEG family, ” says CFO of Thomas Eye Group Stephen Janis. “It is bringing together two of the oldest, largest and most respected eye care providers in Metro Atlanta.”
