(PRESS RELEASE)Transitions Optical honored Spring Hill Eyecare with the 2019 U.S. Eyecare Practice of the Year title, a category of the Transitions Innovation Awards program, during a recognition ceremony on Tuesday, February 4 at Transitions Academy 2020 in Orlando, Fla.

“Spring Hill Eyecare increased pairs of Transitions lenses sold by 60 percent through in-practice and community efforts, such as an interactive lens display where patients can try all of the Transitions Signature style colors,” said Drew Smith, director, North America Channels, Transitions Optical. “Creating these unique experiences inside and outside of the office has driven Spring Hill Eyecare to success. We congratulate them on this honor.”

Amie Robinson, optical manager at Spring Hill Eyecare; Dr Rob Szeliga, founder and owner, Spring Hill Eyecare; Melanie Jenkins, office manager, Spring Hill Eyecare; and Tanna Carter, optician, Spring Hill Eyecare accepted the award on behalf of the practice.

“Our journey in preparation for Transitions Academy was amazing,” said Robinson. “We gained confidence in our understanding of Transitions lenses and they’re now part of the conversation with every patient. It is eye-opening as to how many patients are open to the idea of trying Transitions lenses for the first time to find that they want them in every pair.”

During Transitions Academy, U.S. Eyecare Practice of the Year finalists Associates in Family Eyecare and Lake Havasu Family Eyecare were also recognized for their commitment to promoting healthy sight and support of the Transitions brand.
