Florida and Pennsylvania are also pondering their own revisions.

The Vision Council has been tracking more than 40 bills relating to managed vision care, and while some of these bills have died in their respective legislatures, many have been signed into law or are working their way through the legislative process. Since 2013, 11 states have enacted ‘access’ acts: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Oregon, Texas, Vermont and Virginia. Now Congress, as well as Florida and Pennsylvania, have legislation pending regarding managed vision care access.

Details on these laws can be found here.
