(PRESS RELEASE) SPRINGFIELD, OR — Valley Contax, Inc. has announced it will include Juneteenth as a paid holiday for its staff members in honor of a day marked in history by the end of the Civil War and the beginning of Freedom Day for all African Americans.

Valley Contax, Inc. is recognizing such an important day in history and now observed by 48 states as a national holiday since the Oregon House voted to make Juneteenth a state holiday on April 9, 2021. “While this is an important day for many Black Americans, this is not a separate history; this is our history,” the Oregon House majority leader said on the House floor.

Valley Contax, Inc. strives to be an employer that cultivates a culture in which staff members have the opportunity to grow professionally, discover purpose and find personal satisfaction. “We are very excited to offer our staff members an opportunity to take the time away from their normal work routine to celebrate the significance of Juneteenth, such a monumental day in our history,” said Josh Adams, Vice President, Valley Contax, Inc.
