(Press Release) ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Vision Council’s Eyecessorize fashion eyewear campaign has released its spring/summer 2017 trend kit to hundreds of fashion and lifestyle editors nationwide. The digital kit includes an online booklet prominently featuring member product from members of The Vision Council, including men’s and women’s optical and sunwear frame images, alongside trend descriptions. Provided in a digital format, the kit gives editors quick and easy access to the materials, offering them the capability to download hi-res versions of the featured frames and view slideshows showcasing the frames in each trend.

Overall, the kit is meant to generate consumer media awareness of the season’s eyewear trends and product from members of The Vision Council, ultimately leading to coverage in fashion and lifestyle media outlets. The kit was sent to approximately 400 editors from top-tier outlets like Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Glamour, Redbook, GQ, Men’s Journal, SELF, SHAPE, The Huffington Post and USA Today, among others. Placements garnered as a result of the trend kit will add to Eyecessorize’s overall media impressions number, which is used to gauge the campaign’s yearly success. The kit will also enhance the mission of the campaign to promote eyewear and sunwear as must-have fashion accessories to the media.

Eyewear is not only considered a fashion accessory, but also a health necessity. The Vision Council encourages eyecare providers to talk with their patients about the frame and lens options available that best fit their vision and lifestyle needs.

The Vision Council is working to educate eyecare providers on the latest in fashion, clinical applications and business solutions with more than 310 hours of education at International Vision Expo East. Vision Expo East 2017 will host fashion shows featuring the latest eyewear trends and showcasing eyewear you can find right in the exhibit hall.
