Awards recognize the best in new eyewear products and technology.

The International Vision Expo & Conference has announced the winners of the 2016 Vision Expo East Vision Choice Awards. They are:

  • First Place: Specs of Wood
  • Second Place: Miraflex
  • Third Place: Lunette USA

"I’m very excited to win first place because the competition is pretty stiff; there a lot of creative people here,” says Ian Rubinstein, owner of Specs of Wood. “This reward is a recognition of all the hard work I’ve put into my brand, and a testament to Vision Expo for having the idea to allow people to showcase their products."

The Vision Choice Awards recognize the best in new eyewear products and technology, as voted upon by Vision Expo attendees. Twenty-four brands competed for Best New Product as part of the International Vision Expo New Product Gallery, which spotlights a selection of frames, accessories and technologies introduced at the show.

Each year, eyewear brands vie for recognition from their Vision Expo peers as a Vision Choice Awards recipient. The gallery provides participating brands added visibility, and past winners often tout the value of increased foot traffic to their booths.

“The New Product Gallery and Vision Choice Awards perfectly illustrate the strong platform that International Vision Expo provides for brands introducing their design and technological innovations to the industry,” says Melissa Ashley, senior vice president, Reed Exhibitions. “The exposure that this show lends to eyecare and eyewear companies is unmatched, and underscores the high-value marketing and buying opportunities that happen here in New York.”
