It’s backing Optometry’s Fund for Disaster Relief and other efforts.
International Vision Expo has released a statement on its efforts to support those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma:
As the vision industry prepares to gather in Las Vegas, we at International Vision Expo extend our sincerest thoughts to those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. We have received an incredible amount of interest and concern from Vision Expo supporters, attendees and exhibitors, looking for ways in which they can help those affected by these events.
The vision industry is and always has been a close, supportive community. To this end, Vision Expo supports Optometry’s Fund for Disaster Relief (OFDR), a program of Optometry Cares – The AOA Foundation.
In addition, Vision Expo extends its support to the efforts of The American Board of Opticianry & National Contact Lens Examiners (ABO-NCLE), in conjunction with its affiliated organizations including the Contact Lens Society of America (CLSA), Opticians Association of America (OAA) and the National Academy of Opticianry (NAO), encouraging contributions to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief.
