(PRESS RELEASE) RANCHO CORDOVA, CA — VSP Vision announced that it has earned the National Organization on Disability’s (NOD) Leading Disability Employer Seal for 2024. This recognition, which VSP Vision has garnered for three consecutive years, recognizes exceptional disability practices and policies that have been established and implemented at VSP Vision.
“We are extremely proud to be named a Leading Disability Employer by the National Organization on Disability,” said VSP Vision Chief Diversity Officer Marvin Davenport. “This recognition highlights our dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all employees.”
October is recognized as National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and VSP Vision has invited employees to deepen their understanding of disability issues with a series of programming and events throughout the month – robust programming like this is one of the reasons VSP Vision earned the NOD recognition.
The Leading Disability Employer Seal is granted based on the NOD Employment Tracker, a comprehensive assessment tool that evaluates key business practices related to hiring, retention, and advancement of people with disabilities. This accolade reflects VSP Vision’s disability inclusion efforts in areas including workforce strategy, talent outcome metrics and sourcing, climate and culture, people practices and workplace tools, and accessibility.
“We’re incredibly grateful to VSP Vision for their commitment to disability inclusion,” said National Organization on Disability Chief Executive Officer and President Beth Sirull. “We believe that diversity fuels innovation and growth, and VSP Vision embodies this vision in action. We applaud their efforts and investments to provide pathways to fulfilling careers for Americans with disabilities.”
