One eye doctor shares her experiences practicing ortho-k.

Adding a specialty is one way optometrists can expand their practices and differentiate from the competition. One specialty growing in popularity is orthokeratology, which uses specially designed gas-permeable contact lenses to reshape the cornea and reduce myopia, among other refractive errors. Through three individual case studies published by Optician magazine, a Swiss optometrist shared her experience using ortho-k on her patients, which may offer some things you didn’t know about the craft.
