It signed a deal with UnitedHealthcare.

Warby Parker will begin accepting UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored and individual vision plans nationwide in 2018.

The collaboration between the companies started with a pilot program in North Carolina, where employees at eight companies now have in-network access to Warby Parker’s store in Charlotte. They’ll expand the program to more markets this year, with a full rollout to all UnitedHealthcare Vision members, nearly 20 million people, starting in 2018.

This marks the first time that Warby Parker, which sells eyewear online and at more than 50 stores across thee country, has accepted vision insurance.

“Warby Parker is constantly exploring new ways to provide people access to affordable, high-quality and fashionable eyewear,” said Dave Gilboa, co-founder and co-CEO of Warby Parker. “We look forward to working with UnitedHealthcare, nationwide, to enable millions of Americans to purchase their eyewear at a fraction of the price they might pay through traditional channels.”

The company made its mark as an e-commerce retailer but has since 2013 been opening physical stores. In January the company said it planned to open 25 stores in 2017.
