The company sees big potential.

Apple Inc. is looking at the possibility of making a digital eyewear product, Bloomberg reports.

The project is apparently in its early stages and isn’t definite, according to the news service, which cited unnamed sources. If it happens, it could be in 2018.

The product “would connect wirelessly to iPhones, show images and other information in the wearer’s field of vision,” and it’s possible it would feature augmented reality, according to Bloomberg. Augmented reality “adds images and other digital information to people’s view of the real world.”

Apple has reportedly been in discussions with suppliers about the project and has even ordered a few pieces.
