CooperVision’s ECP Viewpoints Begins Educational Series Based on Company and Company-Sponsored Research Presented at Academy ’19

(PRESS RELEASE) ORLANDO — Eye care professionals attending Academy 2019 have access to hundreds of scientific papers and posters that showcase the latest advances in optometry research. But digesting and translating this information for the benefit of their own practices can be a challenge. To further support its clinical education initiatives, CooperVision plans to publish a series of summaries of research presented in Orlando on ECP Viewpoints, its blog for eye care professionals.

Articles will be authored with the practicing ECP in mind, distilling and translating data for application in the exam lane to benefit the professional and patient alike. Topics include contact lens performance and design, materials science, patient wearing experience, and more.

“Conferences like Academy offer a wealth of information, yet the reality is that there’s too much for any one attendee to fully see and absorb. This initiative is designed for practitioners who want to grow their knowledge and ultimately, the level of care they can provide their patients,” said Jennifer Palombi, OD, FAAO, senior manager, Professional and Scientific Communication, North America, CooperVision.

“After multiple days of being immersed in research, returning to your practice to implement what you learned can be overwhelming. Where and how do you start? This CooperVision ECP Viewpoints series will break down key research and offer easily digestible summaries and actionable tips for patient care and practice management.”

The series will also serve as a resource for ECPs unable to attend Academy 2019 but who are interested in experiencing some of what was shared with their peers.

The Academy 2019 research series will be published in the weeks following the conference. To read or subscribe to ECP Viewpoints, visit www.CooperVision.com/practitioner/blog.
