Dr. Oz Riding with Team Lighthouse Guild in TD Five Boro Bike Tour

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — Dr. Mehmet Oz has joined Team Lighthouse Guild and together they will ride through the five boroughs of New York City in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour on Sunday, May 6. Starting time for the charity bike ride is scheduled for 7:45am.

“I am joining Team Lighthouse Guild for the TD Five Boro Bike Tour to increase awareness of the importance of eye health and vision rehabilitation, and to help raise funds to support vision and health programs provided by Lighthouse Guild,” said Dr. Oz. 

“Over 5 million Americans are blind or visually impaired. Millions more are at risk. Our goal is to make people of all ages aware of the importance of early identification and prevention of vision loss,” Dr. Oz added.

The TD Five Boro Bike Tour is the largest cycling event in the country and one of the most popular athletic events in New York City, covering a 40-mile, traffic-free route past some of New York’s most iconic locations. Lighthouse Guild is a participating charity partner in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour.
