Optometrists Named as ‘See Tomorrow Visionaries’

(PRESS RELEASE) WASHINGTON, DC — A group of leading optometrists from across the United States has been named as See Tomorrow Visionaries by the Contact Lens Institute (CLI). The 40 professionals will serve as ambassadors for the new program (SeeTomorrowNow.com), helping inspire their peers and inform consumers as part of the nationwide initiative launching this summer.

“The See Tomorrow Visionaries have grown their clinical and research practices by consistently finding ways to deepen their relationships with patients, including considering their overall lifestyles as part of their clinical assessment and prescribing. In doing so, they have built trust while improving patient satisfaction, by discussing and prescribing the latest advances in contact lenses,” said Rick Weisbarth, OD, FAAO, chair of CLI’s communications committee. “The combination of their broad experiences, keen insights as well as the eye opening new CLI consumer research — which will be shared in our digital launch event on July 22 — will move optometry forward as we emerge from the pandemic.”

See Tomorrow is a new professional and consumer initiative focused on intriguing insights about how patient psyches surrounding vision, health care and their lives have changed over the course of the pandemic—and the ensuing opportunities for the optometry community. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of good vision and how contact lenses are an outstanding option as patients pursue their post-pandemic hopes and dreams.

The campaign launches on Thursday, July 22 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT, with a free online event featuring human behavior expert Colette Carlson. It is open to all U.S. eye care practitioners and staff at no cost. Canadian practitioners are also invited to attend. Registration is open at SeeTomorrowNow.com.

Digital event attendees will also be among the first to have access to an in-practice guide that assists eye care practitioners and staff in applying the CLI research results and associated research from other healthcare specialties to their own environment.

The Contact Lens Institute advances the latest innovations in safe and effective contact lens and lens care products and services that provide unique benefits to patients while satisfying the evolving needs of eye care professionals. CLI undertakes activities that properly assess, enhance, promote and balance contact lens and lens care industry welfare and growth, including the safe use of products in the marketplace.
