With these challenges in mind, Satisloh expanded its technical support portfolio with the new Distance STEP program, providing labs real-time help and information without a tech visit.

Distant STEP subscribers get a complete technology kit with all the components necessary to make their remote, real-time service calls simple.
- Satisloh Assisted Reality Headset with State-of-the-art wearable mobile device that allows customers to interact (hands free) with Satisloh service experts via TeamViewer Pilot app.
- Satisloh Technical Knowledge Base Tablet pre-loaded with SAP JAM app to access Satisloh´s knowledge base with machine and training documentation, troubleshooting guides and videos; and Satisloh’s MES-360 Maintenance Manager App for planning and recording maintenance for all lab equipment
- Satisloh Distance Support Center – a storage and charging station to keep headsets and tablet, centrally located in the lab so operators can readily access tools for remote support.
- SafeLab Guidelines for keeping employees and customers safe, developed with leading cross contamination expert, Dr. Peter Papadakos from the University of Rochester.
“In addition to this complete technology package, support requests from Distance STEP customers will be prioritized Level One. And they’ll have access to our online Knowledge Base for maintenance tips and troubleshooting as well as ‘Safe Lab Guidelines: Fighting Covid-19 in an Optical Lab’ developed with leading cross contamination expert, Dr. Papadakos from the University of Rochester,” said Huthoefer.
