Bausch + Lomb Names Brian Rosenblatt, OD, to Professional Strategy Team for US Vision Care Business

(Press Release) Bausch + Lomb has appointed Brian Rosenblatt, O.D., as director, Professional Strategy. Dr. Rosenblatt will join Dr. Jill Saxon and Todd Love, directors of Professional Strategy, in coordinating the company’s Eye Care Professional (ECP) outreach efforts across Vision Care.

This addition to the Professional Strategy team will help strengthen Vision Care’s focus and support of the optometry community through a wide range of initiatives designed to support ECP’s and students across the nation.

In his new role, Dr. Rosenblatt will be responsible for enhancing Bausch + Lomb’s professional outreach program through its team of U.S. contact lens experts, maximizing communication and support through professional educational events, and continuing to forge relationships with key optometric industry members.

“Dr. Rosenblatt brings a wealth of clinical and educational experience to Bausch + Lomb, which will be a valuable asset to our Professional Strategy team as well as for the entire U.S. Vision Care division,” said Guy Guglielmino, head of marketing, Vision Care, Bausch + Lomb.

“The depth of knowledge and expertise Dr. Rosenblatt brings from private practice and involvement in the industry will help us to bring forth programs that meet the needs of ECP’s as well as their patients. With the addition of Brian to our Professional Strategy group, I believe we have built an outstanding team that will help reinforce Bausch + Lomb’s dedicated and continuous partnership with the eye health community.”

Immediately prior to joining Bausch + Lomb, Dr. Rosenblatt was the president and co-owner of Rosenblatt Family Eye Care Associates, in Raritan, NJ, where he worked in private practice for 23 years.

He has distinguished himself within the community as an outstanding primary care optometrist, with expertise in contact lenses, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and ophthalmic manifestations of systemic diseases.
A member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association, Dr. Rosenblatt has served as the principal investigator in numerous ophthalmic studies and as a proctor for the National Board of Optometry. He is a published author in optometric peer reviewed journals, has been a national continuing education presenter on topics ranging from inflammation and trauma to glaucoma, and serves as medical director for Sidewalk University’s Gift of Sight project.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Bausch + Lomb in what I believe is a very exciting time for the company,” said Dr. Rosenblatt. “With such an innovative product portfolio that is exceeding expectations for both doctors and patients alike, I look forward to helping to communicate the benefits of the company’s offerings and using my past experience in private practice, combined with the support of Bausch + Lomb, to provide eye care practitioners the assistance and tools they need to enhance their practice and meet the needs of their patients today.”

Dr. Rosenblatt holds a Doctor of Optometry and Master’s degree in ophthalmic science from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he graduated with high clinical honors, and has a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Trenton State College, which has since been renamed The College of New Jersey.

He will be based at the company’s headquarters in Bridgewater, NJ.
