Blue Light Is a Killer

Blue light from digital devices and the sun transforms vital molecules in the retina into cell killers, according to a University of Toledo study recently published in the journal Scientific Reports. The process leads to age-related macular degeneration and the death of photoreceptor cells in the retina. The study found that blue light exposure causes trigger reactions that generate poisonous chemical molecules in photoreceptor cells. utoledo.edu
